Karen Harper is the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of romantic suspense and historical mysteries. A former college instructor and high school English teacher, Harper has been published since 1982 with over 50 novels.
Harper's latest novels from Mira Books include two romantic suspense trilogies set in Amish country: The first series is DARK ROAD HOME, DARK HARVEST and DARK ANGEL. Her latest Amish suspense trilogy includes FALL FROM PRIDE (2011), RETURN TO GRACE (2012) and FINDING MERCY (2012). DARK ANGEL is the winner of the Mary Higgins Clark Award. Booklist calls Harper, "a master of suspense."
Her historical novels, mostly set in Tudor England, and published by Random House and Penguin USA, include THE LAST BOLEYN, THE IRISH PRINCESS, MISTRESS SHAKESPEARE, THE QUEEN'S GOVERNESS and MISTRESS OF MOURNING. Library Journal says Harper's historicals are "as good as the best of Philippa Gregory."
