Membership Application Waiver

All members of Central Ohio Fiction Writers must read and sign this waiver.

I fully understand and accept that, by becoming a member of Central Ohio Fiction Writers, I may participate in critique groups or be asked to volunteer for chapter activities, resulting in general conversations or otherwise that may not necessarily be the opinion or belief of myself or other group members. As a participating member of Central Ohio Fiction Writers, I realize that sharing personal opinions and beliefs is an integral part of the creative process of writing and, as a member of Central Ohio Fiction Writers, I will not instigate or participate in a libelous or slanderous legal action taken against either Central Ohio Fiction Writers or any and all of its officers or members.

Having read this waiver and knowing the facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application for membership, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Central Ohio Fiction Writers, its Officers, Board of Directors and Trustees, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in any chapter activities, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of an event for any legitimate purpose.
